I have been busy knitting gnomes for our "Give a Gnome a Home Campaign" to swell the funds to fund a sanctuary both for healing, spiritual development, alternative therapies etc. Our latest effort was Grandma Gnomey Nora with not only glasses but a small wooden walking stick plus wings -  Our gnomes are now going worldwide as well as our owls and I am knitting rainbow owls at this moment as well as some other project.  I am in the middle of knitting a white owl, but the rainbow wings are causing difficulties, but like Grandma Gnomey Nora's wings it will get resolved so Maria Veiga you will eventually get your owl.  There is also an order for another owl, an angel and a rattle so Lorna Hunte, Patricia Tucker Sevret and Linda Ferguson they will get done and the owl may be resolved with one of our latest rainbow owls which will be a hoot.  I am also knitting some mult- coloured tortoises. 

Gnomes and more gnomes on Grand Spiritual Church Tour

Well these little fellows are getting everywhere as these made their present felt in docklands at Barbara Barnes small sanctuary in Westferry Road.  We are knitting to raise money for our own healing and teaching academy.  Previously to this Graham Watson has taken them to some spiritualist churches and everyone love the gnomes.  They managed to get their noses in at Woodford Church during a workshop too and I am adding a selection of photographs to this blog entry.  If you want a gnome or anything else knitted please email us on rainbowhealingsanctuary@hotmail.co.uk or telephone 07927 288904.  If you want to see the gnomes on their tour then look at our other blog where we will be announcing where Graham will be taking them. Owls and more owls

 

This little fellow is off down under to a new home and has been purchased by a lovely lady called Kathleen Johnson who has three adorable dogs as well as some beautiful horses in Australia.  I am really enjoying knitting these and it has become a great challenge creating different one.  Especially my new fair isle ones two of which have gone to a lady called Linda Ferguson who does a lot of work for the Boo Owl Sanctuary. Unfortunately at the moment I can't knit as I Have broken a pinky and my hand is quite badly bruised and swollen.  Hopefully I will be back knitting soon. Naughty Gnomes and Other things

A Happy New Year to all our readers.  Been very busy with projects and these are some of the results a series on naughty gnomes and elfin  mice amounts other things.  Had a few commissions for owls and heart key rings which is nice as we always welcome these to swell the funds.  Got to confess some of the money earned  has been spent on bits for the knitting some new circle needles. The chakra rattle set on the right hand is £40 plus postage and each rattle is unique.  They are contained in a bag and can be used for colour healing or shamanic work.  The key rings below vary in price from three pounds for a plain one to a range in between up to £7 plus postage.  Again each one is unique and they are all knitted with love.  I also knit key rings with your power or totem animals plus key rings knitted to order with initials on or even names.  I am busily knitting away for a Pop in Christmas Fair at the Green Man in Catford which is located in South East London and it will I understand contain a big variety of stalls suitable for Christmas Gifts.  If you are thinking forward the key rings would make a lovely gift for Valentine's Day for a loved one or just a really good friend.  You could also buy one for Mothers Day to show mum how mum you appreciate all that she has done for you.  Also below is a rainbow stress ball key ring again this will cost £10 with postage. The wooden handled shamanic rattles vary in price from £20 to £30 depending on how elaborate the carving is and how complex the knitted part. I also make a variety of soft toys so please contact me at rainbowhealingsanctuary@hotmail,co.uk or ring +44 7927288904

 

 

Christmas Key Rings

This year I decided to knit some key rings in keeping with the Christmas spirit.  As you can see some have snow flakes, another has a Reindeer, a Christmas Tree and also some plain ones.  I am also knitting some with power and totem animals on and as you can see from the picture below my first is a swan. These key rings also double up as stress balls and the swan is also laced with lavender so it will make your pocket or bag smell sweet.  The prices of these for a very plain one start at £3 and the others go up to £7 depending on how elaborate they are.  I also knit them with initials in such as the one on the right  I also have a few totem key rings available an elephant, a penguin and a frog.  Again these vary in price as some take as you can imagine an age to knit.  Obviously prices do not reflect postage.  At the moment I am busy knitting two rattles which are commissions from a lady in Tasmania and also two pair of fingerless mittens as presents for someone who is constantly on the go and on the move.  If any of you have any other ideas of small gifts I could knit please place a comment in the box below. 

Harry the Hedgehog with Tiny, Timmie and Topsy Tortoise

These are the latest little critter are for sale.  I have a few commissions I am finishing including a small egg rattle, two rattles with wooden handles, a key ring and two pairs of fingerless mittens.  I am also getting ready for Christmas and I have already knitted a Christmas key ring (see below).  The other key rings were won in a charity raffle and will be going in the post Monday.  Lets hope the recipients like them. If you have any suggestions of items I can knit please make a comment on the blog.  I have seen some lovely Scandinavian Christmas stocking patterns and I may be knitting one of two of those.  I also thought some red, white and green heart shaped key rings would be a good idea.  These key rings I have been told are excellent for car key rings as they are light weight,  They also double up as stress balls and the red is a colour of power, energy and strength (not good though if you have high blood pressure).
